American troubadour Michael Holt comes to East London towards the end of his
self-booked 3 month tour in North America and Europe, performing his unique
house concerts in people’s living rooms.

As he is about to get on with one of his intimate house concerts in a small
flat in Hackney, self-important Guardian journalist Jane Constantinopolis,
makes an unexpected appearance. She is writing an article about the concept of
house concerts and has been tipped off about this particular one by a friend.
She is not going to let this “hippie” from America off easy and throws all
kinds of critical and confrontational questions at him.

But Michael is the embodiment of patience and eventually his honest music
and answers win her over...

of an informal collaboration between American troubadour Michael Holt and
Bacalao, based on a shared interest in the intimate concept of performance in
people’s private houses. The performance material is all improvised, mainly on
the spot, which makes it an unpredictable and exciting experience for everyone
