In "Sad stuff" we follow four girls on their faltering and vulnerable journey
towards living with an unbearable grief and pain.
What does it really take to "move on"? Can you dance the pain away?
Should we forget or remember? Share or keep to ourselves?
Live or give up? And why should we live when everything hurts?
These are the questions that Sigrid, Sissel, Marthe and Åse work themselves through...
in a seriocomic, heartbreaking and admirable way.
In Norway there are twice as many people dying from suicide than in traffic accidents each year.
Yearly between 4000 and 6000 suicide attempts are being treated.
On a world basis 1 million people die from suicide every year. More people die from suicide
than from war, violence and crime together. Still suicide is one of our time's last taboos.
This is the starting point for the project "Sad stuff", a performance with and about people
who have lost loved ones to suicide. An honest, funny, serious and personal performance
about being left behind when someone you love has taken their own life.
About the universal flip side of life: grief.
